Almost a month

My son is 3 weeks old. In just 6 days he will be one month old. He has already grown into something different entirely from the tiny little icky miracle that was plopped down on my chest in the hospital. I can't help but think about how quickly he will start toddling and speaking and learning. I already feel like I can't blink because I'll miss something new he is doing.
This
has turned into

this,
and that has turned into the baby who no longer looks like a newborn, has regular little attitude about his bassinet, and literally just now figured out how to get the pacifier he dropped back into his mouth. He loves to watch my face and hear my voice, and he is fascinated by music.

As of yesterday, he has gained a pound and an ounce more than his birthweight. You can tell when you hold him he is bigger and heavier. When I run my hand over his head the difference the shape my hand makes now from in the hospital is incredible.

He has been such a blessing to us in so many ways. Even though we are both beyond exhausted, it is a joy to get up with him in the middle of the night, and a joy to wash his bottles and change his diapers and even hear him cry.

Chandler and I pray that we will be able to shape this incredible little 7 pound person into a man who seeks the Lord, and is hardworking, respectful, and intelligent. He has already mastered being sweet and handsome, so we got lucky with those! ;)
